  • Teachers pet :(

At College today we moved on to veg (Oh.My.God.Thank.You) .......anyways ... in many cases when Teach asked 'who has used/tried/done this' - I have/had. BUT - how do you keep sticking your hand up and saying 'I have Miss' without getting duffed up at break by the smokers

          LOL.
well you have 2 choices, look like the clever girl you are, and put your hand up everytime, or say nothing and gain the admiration of all those apart from the one that is going to mark your work?

now, which do you think is the more sensible considering you are no longer in kindergarten?

Hit the smokers back, they won't do it again

Don't be worried about knowing something someone else doesn't, that's their problem, not yours. If they're too ignorant to learn from what you already know then that's their look out too

                  no you may NOT,

college is for education, high school is for making friends, uni is for getting drunk a lot and then rushing to pass at the last minute.

I should quantify the Teachers Pet comment - cos a couple of students have used it to/at me, it is said in fun - I think, but actually it hurts me cos I honestly can't see why they are saying it.

It may be that they 'know I can take it' - cos I'm a game bird - or they really think it.

Upshot is many are clever than I ..so why so I get called it

I wonder why it's ok to poke fun at people for being clever, but not ok to call someone 'thick'?!
                            *comes over all philosophical

Don't worry about it hun, you just hold your head up and be you, people 'teasing' like that is justa cover for their own insecurities/jealousies and you should feel sorry for them. Try the 'Fogging' technique, where you diffuse them by agreeing - it's being taught to kids dealing with bullying, but it works in all sorts of situations

erm, so I say 'oh yes, I am Teacher's Pet' ...is that what you mean?

I have to say in Teacher's defence, she is superb and I would recommend her for anyone, her teaching style is fun and easy to understand
