  • Dont have the time recently

Hi there chaps! I just dont seem to have the time to do anything lately. I want to come online but always seems to be at the same time other things need doing! I dont even have the time to read my veggie mags!

Life is just so busy and I am doing the allotment on my own nowadays as Gordon is not really wel enough to do, at this rate I feel he will pack it in after next season. I am also getting pressure of other allotment holders saying that I should give up half of my allotment if Gordon wants to give up........I dont see why I should, I work it fully, all of it is used, yet there are around 10 allotments on this 44 sited allotments that are not being worked!
Dont worry about tomorrow, live for today

If you feel you can keep it, then keep it. Only you will know if you can do it or not, but if you feel you can, then do so.

Hi there. Life can be hectic for everyone at times. During August I hardly got to visit my plot what with the family holiday (2 weeks camping) and then my daughter needing to go into hospital (she's fine now). It didn't mean that I'd lost interest in my allotment just time was tight to do everything. I'm back on track now though.

If you enjoy your plot, and can manage it, then keep it, regardless of what others think. Reading other posts on here though it might be wise to take photos regularly then you can prove you are doing fine to those who only visit to 'inspect' now and again.
      Best wishes,
      Julie

I say ignore the other people on the allotment as its none of there business and you don't keep and eye on them, so why should they put there 2 penny worth in.

Also life is very hectic and you can only do so much in 24hrs so, keep going the way you are if you think you manage it

If you can manage that plot then you keep it. Especially when there are ten others available, it's not as if it's desperately needed, is it? Is it that your plot is well cultivated and the vacant ones are covered in brambles? If so it sounds as if someone's best mate is after a plot and they're trying to get them a good one. You give them a good ticking off then enjoy your lottie, by order of bluemoon.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

Well, it becomes their business if your weeds are spreading themselves onto their plots

However, if you can manage, and you want to keep a whole plot, then keep at it

I don't see what business it is of anybody else what you do with your plot - or with your time come to that! You are not hurting or adversely affecting anyone else are you? You keep at it as long as you want to and take no notice of the moaners. Little and often, just enjoy the time you can spend there and don't worry when you can't.
