Beginners Question - best position for plot?

Hi Everyone...I'm new here so forgive the daft question!

I've got a smallish garden which is south westerly facing I think, and I want to grow some veg. It is lawned at the moment and fenced at each side, so I can put my vegetable plot in anywhere.

Where would be the best spot? Full sun, semi shade? I thought about putting it in the corner but some parts then won't see the sun because of the shade from the fence.

What do you think??

i've got a south westerly garden too, i've grown the plants that need lots of sun in the middle, and the ones that aren't as bothered near the fence that doesn't get the sun for as long, cos it goes behind the fence and next doors house. i also chopped down the trees at the bottom, so the garden gets as much sun as possible.

on a sunny day (if we ever get another one) watch where the sun goes, and you should be able to work it out from there.
