  • Halloween + Wiitches cape

    Hi guys,

We have nice kiddies that come round on Halloween and I want to play too!
    My plan being thus
To turn our small porch into a witches den,
To dress up as a witch
scare the life out of them,,,no no no just kidding, I just want to make them smile!

I have 3m of black fabric and 3m of black spiders web lace.

Any ideas on the best way to make a cloak, gota be easy, but I do at least now have 'my first sewing machine'

Caught Mr HF saying to our two tabby and white cats....ok, so which one of you gets to go black? he he he he

ps rule in our village is -if there is a pumpkin or lantern out then thats a sign that the kiddies can knock! For the last 5 or more years this has worked well.

I made a cloak of sorts to be a king at work I just hemmed the material at the right length, at the neck I made an open hem that I could thread some elastic through long enough to tie. As I was aking I then sewed tinsel all around the edges.
Im sure someone will have a better idea.
    Gardening ..... begins with daybreak
    and ends with backache

I used to love the kids trick or treating when were in our old village, for the past 9 years we've had no one - not surprising really being in the middle of nowhere

sew just a simple apron shape, length plus width, larger at the bottom, gather up into a band at the neck, with ties in,or have you got any large black bin bags,do have fun,and don't scare your girls

search for halloween .wav files too , we did a great compilation one year of spooky music, creaky doors, screams etc, was great in the cd player right by the door, used to switch it on just as they knocked.

ah those were the days, my two are too old to want to play now.
