Jackie that's terrible!!! I hope you've given her a big cuddle and told her you're there for her when she needs a true friend and another mum-substitute, though nobody can ever really replace a real mum. Poor girl, give her a hug from me too
My girls found their way into my heart and now they nest there

Jackie, I feel so sad for your niece and you and your family. I know I can't do anything but just want to tell you I'm thinking of you and your niece.

well hopefully, it might make her realise that the 'friends' aren't the sort of kids she should be hanging around with .... hope she makes a quick recovery xx

Oh, Jackie, that poor kid has had enough to put up with, without this. Hope she feels better soon. At least she's with your sister now, so has someone to care for her.

The bruises are really showing now I havent been able to see her yet but I know she is in good hands with my sister. They spent most of friday night at the hospital and the police have been informed. These friends are the ones we have been trying to tell her are no good for her in fact these are the same ones who are wrong crowd.
The police phoned my sister at 11pm on saturday night wanting to go round then to have a chat but as my sister had informed them on saturday morning and had her two grandchildren staying as well who are only 3 years old and everyone was in bed they decided to leave it till sunday, the police were supposed to go round about 4pm on sunday but as far as I know by 8pm they had not turned up, how bad is that.
My bil ( not her dad ) has taken photos of my niece as all the bruising is to her head and face none on the rest of her body, she has to go back to hospital today as they thought her cheekkbone may be fractured, this could have had serious concequences.
My niece for her part had been dropped of at a friends house and as far as my sister thought she would be there all evening till 10.30 but the parents allowed the girls to go into town, my niece phoned to ask if she could be picked up at 11pm but didnt say where she was because had my sister known she was in town she would have said no.
My bil went to get her and I think she had phoned for help, anyway he arrived just as this beating was all but over and he so wanted to get out of the car but my niece stopped him and they drove home.
She has learnt two very hard lessons, one to tell the truth and two that these friends are no good.
              Thanks for your wishes.
              Jackie

That's appalling. I remember so-called friends pushing me over and having a go when I was on roller-skates. I was about 10. Kids can be awful sometimes.

My niece has a small crack in her cheekbone, she doesnt have to have surgery but she is not allowed to do p.e for 6 weeks nor sneeze or blow her nose or make sudden movments. The school have told the girls involved they are not to go near her, her real friends boys and girls have supported her and snubbed the others.
Three were involved and if it had been on concrete she would have been a lot worse, one smshed her head against a wall one held her down and one kicked her in the head. These are 13 yer old GIRLS. All because my niece has made friends with a girl that one of the others was friends with and she didnt like it.
It will be going to court.

Jackie so sorry to hear this news, your neice has had enough to contend with without this as many have said hopefully she will realise who her true friends are as a result of this. Big hugs to you and your family.
