  • Fat rain

    I'm properly annoyed now!

Half an hour before I go home and someone decides to turn the rain tap on full blast - I reckon they cranked it up to 11 because I've never seen rain as fat as this! Fuuuge drops that'd sink a duck I reckon.

Obese Britain now has obese rain! What is the world coming to?

HW we have had same 'fat' rain here in the last two days... I thought it was a special offer....1/3 extra for same price!

They are huge drops and come in huge deluges causing huge puddles in seconds! most odd weather all in all.

If only the rain would come at a predictable time. I'd be okay with a daily shower from say 9-11 am.

Absolutely beautiful here now, and quite hot as well. I'm waiting for the kitchen to cool down so I can marzipan some wedding cakes!
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

you know what i find really amusing ....... we've had some lovely sunshine and we've only had 2 rainy days in nearly 2 weeks (granted it was monsoon weather with horrendous winds and it blew 2 of my sunflowers over) but considering i live in manchester, it's funny ..... i've even got a suntan

It was lovely here this morning, son number 1 was running around and playing in the paddling pool and I managed to get some washing dry. Luckily I got it all in before the torrential rain and the thunder started. It's started looking a bit sunnier in the last few minutes but it's still raining. Apparently it's going to be sunny tomorrow and rain all weekend, great.

Yesterday was so windy here I had to retrieve my tablecloth which was drying on the line from a neighbours garden!

You can go off a person you know!

I went to pick up LadyWayne from the station and stop off at Tescos. I was sat in the car and tried ringing LW - I could hardly hear my phone over the rain. Anyway, LW didn't answer so I decided to make a run for it during a "break"*. Needless to say, by the time I made it to Tescos door I was soaked through - which LW found highly amusing when I met up with her in the biscuit aisle!

Looks quite nice out now but it's a measly 12-13 degrees C.

*see slight drop off in size of droplets

Did I mention I'm off to Tuscany in a few weeks?
