Recently i have been toying with the idea of giving into the council and halving my 600sq yard plot, they keep saying.... 'its alot to cope with on your own' etc
. i had it ploughed in december but half is overgrown again with brambles and pesky couch grass! I have had a hernia op 3 weeks ago and couldnt do anything so the weeds have taken over ( and killed alot of carrots may i say!!!). I decided that yep i would give half up untill i told my dad!!!! 
i have been up to the lottie today and have strimmed most of the stupid weeds and couch grass, i had a little bit left to do and i run out of petrol!!! but it looks fab, im now going to cover it up and wait till im ready! and not give it back to the council! im sure i will regret it if i did.
To be honest - it is a big plot for me to cope with, its abit like painting the fourth bridge (or golden gate - cant remember the phrase
). but the council shouldnt have sold the other allotments in hucknall to build on!!!
I think i will grass some of it so the kids have somewhere to play. or maybe chickens .
I just thought i would share this with you incase there was anyone else thinking of giving in!
