and end up looking like the back end of a bus, and demand a general anaesthetic for the birth

all i could eat was celery (with salt of course) during both pregnancies - shame cause i hate the stuff and couldnt get enough!!! (it had to be the whiter coloured stuff though!!)

i do hope that LW has HW up all night, getting her every whim and if he says "didnt hurt me a bit" when its all over, i will personally drive to Harlington (5 mins away!!) and clop him one ha ha ha ha!!!!

Men are wusses! When I was expecting OH couldn't bear to watch me have my blood pressure or bloods taken (something about pressure on the upper arm?!) and swore he wouldn't go down 'the business end' during the birth...next thing I know he's off having a Christmas dinner in the middle of labour and complaining that his knees were sore because he fell off his bike on the way to work the day before

He he, you knew it wouldn't last!

Our relationship is 50/50 anyway, but yes, at the moment LW is my number one priority so I'm doing the extra bit - which will increase as time goes on. I even go shopping now, which I hate. (that's actually part of what gave the game away to her brother "Wayne never goes shopping").

Sounds like you're going to be great!

My DH was lovely all the way through too. He's got a really stressful job but would come home and instantly start stripping floors etc to get the house ready for baby (I had a really strong nesting thing and wanted everything perfect). He told that I didn't look fat just pregnant, and massaged my legs (essential!). When I finally gave up work - I loved my job - at Christmas, he was wonderful and really looked after me.

I had a homebirth in a waterpool (I am totally evangelical about homebirths now) and it was absolutely brilliant! We were drinking Champagne on the sofa an hour or so afterwards! I totally recommend it and would definately do the same for our next one.

Is LW buying lots of baby magazines? Our house was like a newsagents for months - I bought anything with Baby in the title.

Thank you, I'm going to do my very best.

We've not really bought anything yet as it's still early days - after we have the scan, we'll probably feel a little easier about it. LW's Mum however....

I'm selling my beloved car - it just ain't practical or economical (plus LW doesn't like driving it), but again, I'm not putting it up for sale until I "see" the baby on the 11th - all being well.

Our "nursery" currently houses a chuffin great big wardrobe (floor to ceiling) and the cross trainer. That's all going to change, with the cross trainer going in the guest room - the large set of drawers in the guest room going in the nursery (after I'f stripped it down, painted it and made a "frame" for the top of it to act as a nappy changing thingy wotsit) and the cross trainer is going in the guest room. All change!

                            Fun times!

Is this what they mean by "change of life?"
