    Is there a quick way?

    To get back to general chat from a post?
    I have used the back button, but usually have to go through a couple of pages, especially if I have posted a reply, other than that, I have to scroll up to the top of the page and hit 'general chat'
    On another forum I am on (its a stitching one) the 'general chat' button is at the top and the bottom, which is much, much quicker.
    Just wondering if there is something I am missing?

    Go to the top of the page & click on "Grapevine" this gives you the home page & the click on general chit chat.

      I usually scroll to top of page and hit 'new posts' however, there is a 'top of page' button at the bottom which you can hit to take you to the top again. Not sure if that is any help, sorry. Vine is very slow again tonight - might be time for bigger servers

        More usefully at the top of the page, when in a thread, all the forum words are live web links.

          or add the page to your faves, i find this the quickest way, i use it for new posts

            I use:
            Ctrl + Home then click on General Chat - likewise if I wish to get to the end of a long post I use Ctrl + End, both of which can be carried out whilst holding a glass of red wine cos there is a Ctrl on both side - clever clever Bill

              haven't tried it with the wine yet as its only 9a.m!but it works!!all these little tips & i'm in danger of not being computer illiterate anymore!!
