  • Bit of a weird question.

I received a private message from someone who i have never spoken to and under the name it says "Banned". Person has no posts or anything. It was just a general message. HAs anyone else ever had this? Should i respond or ignore - i know it sounds stupid but i just wondered what your faults are - as you are all more experienced on her then i am!!!

Thank you in advance - i hope no one minds me asking

delete and ignore, very occaisionally we get spam. They all get the same treatment from me, if I don't know them - It gets deleted.

      No problem Vegtable newbie,

The best thing to do is to report it to the moderators in a PM: JennieAtkinson, Pigletwillie or Shortie - they will be able to help you. Until you hear back from them, I don't think it would be wise to respond.

Definately forward it to a Mod - if there is a 'hole' in the Vine we don't want to let spammers in.

Seriously folks PLEASE report all these PMs you are getting to us. That way we can keep the Boards free of as much junk as possible.

If it says "Banned" under their name, chances are someone has already reported them for Spamming, and they've already been banned by the Mods. In which case, you can just delete the PM & ignore it. If it doesn't have "banned", then forwarding it to a Mod is definately the thing to do with ANY PM that makes you uncomfortable.
