    Hi Everyone,

I have just taken on an allotment which has a shed on it, it has been painted black at some point, although this is slowly coming off.

So I was wondering if anyone can recommend a fence treatment that i could perhaps use to paint over it.

    Many Thanks

    Muriel

The problem with wood treatment is, well...it's for unpainted wood. I would suggest that you have two options. Either remove the paint and dawb some of the modern, almost useless wood preservatives on it or, repaint if it needs it then give it a couple of coats of yacht varnish.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it and if you ain't going to eat it, don't kill it

If you have a ridgeons in your area they do a wood preserver that is environmentely friendly. As you know creasote is banned and this is as near to it.
