  • How Many Plots?

    Hi,

I am just wondering how many plots are on the field you are on. Our field has 102 plots in total. Most being full plots with about 6 which are 1/2 plots.

We have 40 plots but the are nearly all half plots so there are about 60 holders (some have 2 plots)

around 100 i believe ... i dont know the exact size of the plots but i think they must be half size

link to pic below shows my whole plot - it runs to the end of the metal fence on the left hand side. The camera does 'flatten' it and makes it look shorter than it is.

My site has 99, all full plots (I think) and generously sized. Mine is about 20 poles.

39 full size (10 pole) plots.
Most plots have a greenhouse and a shed.
Four plotholders including myself have 2 plots.
Six plotholders have chooks, soon to be seven I hope!

There were 76, but some were given up for building after the WWII so the numbers still go up to 76, but start at 13 and because of the way it was set out/numbered some of the 60s are missing. In addition about half a dozen have been taken over by a community group, meaning that there are probably somewhere between 40 and 50, but no-one seems to be entirely sure - fortunately there are no half plots available to confuse things further, otherwise the poor person who sends out the bills would probably need Prozac. The council have only had 53 years to re-number them more logically though and I'm sure they'll get around to it just as soon as they get the chance.

                    three!

Two full size and mine which is two halves officially but I work it with a neighbour so there's no "your bit and my bit." It is also called "Plot 5" and is next to "Plot 6" according to the markers that appeared a few weeks ago. No idea where plots 1,2, 3 & 4 are. The site is the same age as the houses around it. Maybe more plots were planned but got turned into gardens for the houses instead.

5 are split into halves and
only 3 are empty and a good shop
very multi-cultural mix so much so that
for communication purposes we have had to
change our commitee to show this
multi ethnic mix. and aid communication to
