I wish they'd hurry up and deliver my Bokashi system thing whatever. About another fortnight or so to go, via recycle now.

I've got one of those (or rather two), both sitting in my garden as we got rather out of sync over Christmas, but they're coming back in tomorrow. I can recommend them. And the bran smells nice! The only downside is you can't put teabags in them, though I suppose I could always tear open the teabags and just empty in the tea. Bit of a bummer though, as I go through tea like there's no tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing what it's like in the summer - I'll be glad not to have a kitchen full of fruit flies...Originally posted by multiveg View Post -
Tea bags can go into the compost bin. The tea "bag" itself can take a while to compost though.Comment

Hi Guys, my Bokashi took ages to arrive too, I had to keep ringing and nagging them!
Been using it about a year now, its a fab system, I love it (slightly obsessed!!). I put tea bags in mine, they rot down ok, I put everything in, chicken carcasses and all!
And yes, it is nice not to be bothered by the fruit flies!Imagination is everything, it is a preview of what is to become.Comment
