  • Wild Strawberry Jam

I decided that this year I will save and freeze the wild strawberries which are colonising my garden (rather than just eating the handful per day) so that I can make jam.

I now have 300g which doesn't seem enough to make jam on their own. I've found a Sarah Raven recipe called French Strawberry Jam which uses 1k of ordinary strawberries plus 250g of wild ones.

So should I keep collecting and then make a small batch of all wild strawberry jam or mix them with ordinary strawberries? I haven't made much jam in the past so I don't know if it works ok to make such a small batch. Help please!
Life is too short for drama & petty things!
So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!

I would keep freezing them until you have enough.

I'd keep eating them! However good the jam, it will never rival picking and eating as you go! (but that is just MY tastes)
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.
