  • What to do with the pulp?

    Hiya me again

    I'm just making some apple and chilli jelly and im gonna have the pulp leftover with the chilli in it too so rather than waste it anyone have any recipes or ideas what I can do with it? Thanks xx

    Add some hot water to it then puree it through a sieve and add to passata for a yummy tomato sauce.....

      Thanks for that Binley I was making a batch of bolognaise sauce for the freezer so added it to that and its yummy. xx

        Hello. If I have things like that left I put them into ice-cube trays, then when frozen tip them out into a freezer bag and use them in cooking as and when. Apple & chilli sounds delicious!
        Is there anything that isn't made better by half an hour pottering in the veg patch?

          Old thread I know.....but I'd freeze it, then add it to the next batch of chutney I make!
