| Hi Debsducks, Mr D says he just peeled and chopped the rhubarb (from the plot), then put it into a pan with the sugar and lemon rind (from the mini lemon tree in the lounge), then just put it on a low heat until the sugar melted, then boiled it up, no water or anything else! Must say it smells divine, tho the jars are a bit sticky to say the least! ![]() Just had my first taste, very thick, very sweet and very nice, rather like a sweet rhubarb marmalade, very brown but very yummy and sticky!! Methinks he's gonna be making some more of this!!! ![]()

| Hi LJ, thanks for the info! He got just about 3 jars from 2lb of sugar, so the mix sounds about right, tho it is a bit like sticky toffee, cant wait to try it on toast tomorrow morning! Mind you, I think it could work well with some vanilla ice cream tonight too! ![]()

| sounds great! It's giving me flashbacks to dinner at my gran's house - custard with a blob of jam for pud.
