Red Cabbage
I hate red cabbage but OH loves it so I grow it (now that's love for you). I have a really nice one that I'm thinking I could pickle - good idea?
If so, does anyone have a nice recipe I could filch. Ideally one which will keep a while, say until Xmas when I could give as a pressie.
Thanks

have you tried sauerkraut, lacto-fermented cabbage, its really easy to do all you need is a large jar, some salt, caraway seeds (optional) and a weight to keep the cabbage below the surface of the liquid, i use a glass tea light holder.
don't be afraid to innovate and try new things

There is a beautiful recipe for red cabbage with blackberries and venison.
It is a good food recipe and if you google red cabbage and blackberries you should find it.
It is really delicious with beef, lamb, venison or duck.
