Half the fun is doing it the old fashioned way though! My wife was hesitant over me buying a jam funnel for the jars - so no chance so that sort of thing here. Mind you, that said I think our bread maker can make jam.. dunno. That's not my domain

I wonder about the 'dispensing tap'? Wouldn't be keen on non-stick lining either..sounds more like a tea urn tbh!

I suppose you could flush it out with boiling water.

I like the sound of the vacuum sealer...now that would come in handy.

Went to my local boot fair last week. Hundreds of juicers, chocolate fountains and automatic bread makers. I'm afraid these might just end up the same way.
Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

mr scorpio, or if I've got it wrong, mrs corpio....?! The Mulled Anything at Christmas is a very warm welcome, eh?! and mine will very definitely be sporting a Mulled Something.X

Two schools of thought here, but it does largely depend on your own circumstances and lifestyle...
A friend of mine got interested in this, and bought one. I read 'The Destruction Manual' and decided that she had bought it for the right reason, because she's into what she calls 'Canning', and I call 'Bottling'.

To cut a long story short, if you preserve mostly fruit stuff, you'll find this bit of kit completely invaluable, and because it is thermostatically controlled to bring it up to the proper preserving temps over the right timescale for safe preserving, and tall enough for bottles, I'm also finding that I have made a wise purchase.

If you're still whitewashed by the blurb, and think it's going to make jam for you, then you are, indeed, barking up the wrong tree.

However, it DOES do the hot drink thingy also, whether it be Mulled Wine at Christmas, or endless hot water for pots of tea when you want to open your garden up to the public one lovely summer day.

                      Personally, I'd highly recommend it.

I have been given one that 'makes jam'
Instructions say a jar at a time -
That I don't mind so much if it means not stiring it - just suspect it'll burn out before it's done half of the blackcurrants...

Yes - I've seen the second pic on amazon and it's def not going to make jam...
The nozzle is just for letting the water out when you've finished I assume, rather than pouring jam into jars with.

                        "With practical dispensing tap"
                        Hmm.
You've not found a copy of the destructions online I could have a look at?

I feel I ought to point out that although the original post is 2 years old now, Lidl will be selling this item again from Thursday 21st...

Our new breadmaker can make jam/compote but I'm not trying it. I prefer my big pan
