  • Green Tomatos

I have 4 lovely tomato plants outside (beefsteak, cherry, gardeners delight) and they still have quite a lot of fruit on them, however it is getting cold, wet and they aren't ripening much, Plus my freezer is FULL of pasta sauce/passata/curry base I've made already from my crop so far. The plants don't seem to ripen as well anymore and it is a pain trying to use little bits here and there...

Is there anything you can do with green tomatos?

        green tomato remedy

        G'day
If you put a ripe banana near them once you have picked them it works much quicker than placing them on a window sill.

You could also wrap the tomato(singular) in news paper and put them in a dark place and leave for a week and keep checking them.

        Hope this helps
