  • De Nice Squash

The packet says "De Nice" squash - not sure if it's the same as "Ronde de Nice"?
But anyway, we've got our first one of these. It's round, about 6in wide.
Any tips for cooking it / storing it?
If not, we'll probably dice it, roast it, freeze it, along with a whole load of courgettes ...

You could cut it in half, scoop out the inner flesh and stuff it? We do that with tondo di toscana which look similar. We normally scoop out the middle, lightly fry the chopped up middle in olive oil with onion and garlic. Then mix with veg mince and a base tomato sauce, put in the scooped out halves, top with parmesan and wholemeal breadcrumbs, season and then bake.

Alternatively, chop it up and do what you do with courgette. Curries, pasta n pesto, etc etc.....

    Enjoy it.
While wearing your night clothes, plant cucumbers on the 1st May before the sun comes up, and they will not be attacked by bugs.
