Default Dried Sloes & how to use 'em

Not having any sloes of my own in my garden or in the vicinity I've just got hold of some dried ones from a homebrew company, with a view to making either sloe gin or sloe vodka. I've got recipes using fresh sloes but I don't know what to do with the died ones - any suggestions?

Default sloe brew

you could make a very nice wine with the dried sloes by pouring boilng water on them and then crushing them.1lb dried sloes to 2 1/4 lb sugar + 2 tsp. citric acid would make a gallon. If you still want sloe gin/vodka then either distill as described before or freeze distill. Pour onto trays and put in the freezer untill ice forms then pour of the alcohol and flavour into bottles to mature. nice from ice
