    How do you put pics so small so you can click and enlarge.
    I have them full size .
    I have been on FAQ pictures and whatever but cannot get it right.

    They will not let me put more than 4 on as they are too big.
    and i dont know how to make them smaller

      I'd much prefer reasonable sized pictures. Clicking on each thumbnail, and then having to close the window it opens in, is a nuisance and means that I don't bother to look at most of them. Much prefer the reasonable-sized pictures you have within the thread

        The problem there is the page can take a long time to load if you're viewing the forum on a mobile device.

          Sure, but there isn't any other forum that I use that has thumbnails and click-to-view, and I don't see any mobile users complaining.

          All the images I post here are 800 x 600, linked from my Blog, and none are more than 100K each. If the forum allows users to upload photos in from-camera-quality I can see that would be a problem, but if the upload size is restricted (or better still the forum upload software just downsizes them if necessary) then I can't see it being a problem.

          If anyone currently wants to view photos on mobiles and they click-to-view the bandwidth needed, for round trip of a new page with image, is more than an embedded image would be.

          If it were to be a problem then I would expect the forum software to include a user-config option to supply click-to-view thumbnails (or the converse option to include full-fat versions )

            I don't agree - I'd rather have small thumbnails and click to view the ones I want to see. I don't ever look at absolutely everything. Thumbnails make reading/loading the page easier and quicker for me, though I don't use a mobile to access websites. As to other gardening/allotment forums, at least 2 use the click to view as well as allowing embedded images.

            It comes down to personal preference, and thankfully we can do either/both.

              Is there an option here to have embedded images? (I've not seen one but would be thrilled if there was!) Clearly an "option" would suit folk in either camp.

              would you actually click on each one (assuming of interest) and do they open in separate windows for you that you have to then close? Might be that the way my browser is working is more troublesome than how others work, or might be folk are happy doing that (whereas I find it an annoyance having to wait for each one).

                I started to resize all my photo before posting them on the forum but it took too long. Instead I either take them on my Iphone or send the via wifi from the digital camera to the Iphone and upload them from it.

                    I tried to put my pics on small i know what you mean it is tiresome closing down and opening all the time.
                    The bigger ones i put on it would only let me do 4 and i had to start a new post.
                    But i have lots from 3 plots
                    Will put some big ones on. cheers Peter

                      Hi all as Kristen said i have same problem,but if anybody wants to see pics of my last 3 plots
                      OCT 2012/ OCT 2013 / AND MY LAST ONE OCT 2014.
                      please look in my ALBUMS they are all public.

                      I cannot put big pics on as it only lets me do 4.
                      and as kristen says and maybe others,
                      its time consuming clicling on and off,.

                        Including smileys, which are tiny, even if 4 of the same smiley ... so I find I have to remove any from posts where I link to Photos. There are a number of overly restrictive settings here, compared to other forums that I use, although the need to post loads-of-photos here is less than a forum specialising in, say, Ornamental flowering plants
