Welcome. It is really another place, an allotment, isn't it? Mine is only 3 minutes walk from my house but it feels so disconnected. I've got markana and oregon sugar pod peas and also a few heritage varieties. After last year's disappointing harvest I decided not to bother with sweetcorn this year. I'm a fair bit further north than you though!

hi, my allotment is also only a couple of minutes walk from my front door so unless i'm picking a large crop i walk. I have been reaping my rewards with my potatoes for the last 2 weeks first time ever growing them and am really please. Still awaiting for the sweetcorn but its still early days yet. my 5 year old son loves coming down with me he has his own bean wigwam and always finds things to amuse himself with.
