  • Retired & raring to go.

I'm not particularly new to growing veg, however I'm new to this retiring lark. Having found myself at a loose end after working for over 50 year as a painter & decorator. I have a small garden with raised beds where I grow radish, carrot's, courgettes, squash, beetroot & runner beans also flowers. I did try Jerusalem artichokes a number of years ago, never again lol having had to keep digging them up for years after I'm also a widower after the lose of my long term partner of 47 years just over 6 months ago, he also loved to garden. I look forward to chatting with everyone & maybe making a few new friends along the way. Thank you for reading

Welcome to the Vine, Fossil Face Love the name. There are plenty of opportunities to get chatting on here and one of those is the Chatback thread http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...2-a_88967.html where people do a bit of general chit chat each day (mostly mornings or evenings) as well as many other threads on growing where you can just get stuck in. In fact, best way is to just get stuck in and type and you'll soon see how friendly and nice people are here.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.
