First time growing Psb do I just uproot plants when they are done producing broccoli?

yes, they're over. Bash the tough stalks with a hammer before composting, or they'll take forever to rot down.

Or if you don't mind a bit of untidy, stack the stalks out of the way like you would old logs/branches, to give beneficial insects a habitat.

I got rid of my sprout stems with a shredder and then straight into the compost bin.

Mine are only just starting too but there are different varieties and obviously it's effected by the location too.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
