![]() HI, I'm Melanie and live in East Sussex - I've been 'playing' at growing veg over the last few years but my partner and I have dreams of going self sufficient and buying a nice field somewhere! So we decided that if we were to make this a reality as part of our grand plan we would have to start paying some attention in class and understanding what grows where, when how and what goes wrong (PLEASE see my post under veggies!!!). In addition we are going back to college to learn about chickens, sheep and everything else. At present we have spinach, toms, squash, french beans, spuds, carrots, beetroot, peas, strawberries, chillies, peppers, courgettes(ish) and a pumpkin all battling for space around our patio and in my very small greenhouse! (image to be posted when I suss it out!). Looking forward to chatting and exchanging info and stories! ![]() |
