  • Money Plant Problems HELP!!!

We've had a money plant for about 7 years and it has survived with little attention. Lately we have been watering it more and i'm guessing we've watered it too much. The plant and soil seem to have fruit flies all over, so I have moved it outside. It has three thick stems and the one in the middle was really soggy when I felt it the other day, the next day it was solid again and today it was soggy, so I cut it down to about 3 inches! Maybe that was a bad idea. I would be grateful for any advice to save the plant. I hope I haven't done the wrong thing!!??

    Thank you!!

Take cuttings of the healthy bits. Stick them in pots of compost and put on the window sill.

They will even grow from a leaf. Sounds like the original plant may be a goner though.

        Thanks!

Thanks for the advice. It's still alive, so I'll try and make it better but I'll try taking a cutting too just in case. Thank you!

Mine always got too big so I stuck it outside and forgot about it - over winter
The main bit died down but I have three of the upper stems as nicely rooted cuttings now - they are succulent so they seem to be able to survive most forms of neglect - except frost.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?
