    Hello everyone, just got my new allotment and am wondering what i have let myself in for! it appears to be covered in brambles that are growing faster than i can dig them up. Have managed to plant a few things so fingers crossed Sharon

    Welcome, Sharon. I think it's the law that any new plot has to be covered in 10ft tall brambles. It's good that you have something planted though. Just take it slowly, cover what you can't currently use and you'll be surprised just how quickly you're fully working your plot
    Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

      Ooohhh lucky you! It's a lot of work but sooo rewarding! Allotments where we live are like gold dust - six year waiting list! Good luck anyway - you might find some real treasures lurking in your plot?
