  • I came back

Hello, I've been away for a while (well almost 3 years!) I was clearing the garden to make veg beds & lovely border of medicinal herbs/flowers. What actually happened was I got all the overgrown mess cleared, got pregnant & spent 4 months on bed rest, lost all my time to motherhood & only managed to maintain the small square of lawn. My son is 3 soon & is increasingly interested in nature so my mission between now & the new year is to get the raised veg boxes reinstated, start the compost heap, make a bug hotel & fix the broken panes in the greenhouse. Meanwhile considering some basic container gardening like tomatoes & radishes for my son to look after & enjoy

      Yey!!!...lovely to see you back

And many congratulations on your 'not so new' addition to your family

How fantastic that your son is showing an interest in nature already...have you got him some gardening tools of his own ( kiddy ones of course )

Ha, don't worry Norfolkgrey, they soon move on...my two dug big holes and covered them over to make 'man traps' they've never been interested in growing anything!

Thanks everyone, was thinking of getting my little helper some tools tho I doubt he'll be much use for anything except holes. Still the younger you start them, knowing where food comes from is so important. Would love chickens but I have a vixen that has visited the last 4 years with cubs so wouldn't be wise
