  • hi from the "sunny south" of england!

Hello all, i stumbled across this site looking for a recipe. Found what i was looking for and found much more interesting stuff! I live on a farm with my husband and have 6 kids so making the most out of everything and anything is a must . . I hate waste my latest enjoyment apart from growing fruit and veg is foraging and with the hedgerows full with goodies im finding every way possible to savour the flavour. Ive got plum wine, apple wine, elderberry wine and blackberry wine fermenting at the minute and now im onto cordials and jams! Yes i like a tipple and will wait eagerly for my wine to mature but with the kids . . . Its purely medicinal for me!!! I look forward to learning much from your site and hopefully helping somewhat too. Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Hello, welcome to the forum goodness me you sound busy, how do you manage to find the time to make wine and forage for food as well as look after the children and run the house. I'm impressed!

Welcome from a retired farmer. They say farmers do not pay much attention to gardening seeing as they spend all their time growing things on a grander scale. When I look back I kick myself that I didnt set aside just one acre for a garden. Now i am reduced to growing stuff on very limited space.

Hello and welcome from down here. Most of the farmers aound here still have their vegetable plots, too. But then they are mostly very small farms.
