  • Hi! New! South coast UK

Hi, I've joined because I'm a fairly novice gardener but enjoy gardening and want to beable to ask questions... I currently have a medium sized garden (anout 80 foot long?) with a vegetable patch in full flow with huge sweetcorn plants!! YUM.
I'm hoping to gradually sort out my flowerbeds with easy to maintain and pet rabbit safe plants although at the moment they are pretty established but full of weeds and horrid spreading grass
I have just bought some herbs in a garden centre sale... french parsely, rosemary barbeque and roman chamomile and I am wondering where to plant them out?!??

Could you add your location (nearest town) to your profile please? Then it will show on your posts and helps a lot when giving advice.

French (or flat-leaved) parsley Parsley flat leaf, grow french parsley, how to grow french parsley, parsley plants,

Parsley, as far as I know, is a biennial plant not a perennial. You would need to sow new seeds every year.

Hello and welcome to the Vine from towards the nutty end.

The parsley may sulk if you try to transplant it, depending on how big it is - I put mine out just when the first true (parsley-shaped) leaves appear.

DO you mean if I try and repot it? It is tiny but not a seedling, its about 10cm high and has small leaves etc. I was hoping to repot it because it looks like theres someweird moss or fungus growing in the surface of the compost (too long in the garden centre??).
