  • Hi Growers!

I have been lurking for a while, so figure I should introduce myself before I get stuck in.

My name is Kari, I started growing late into last years season, I had a few small successes, but things didnt exactly go to plan.

I guess thats how you learn though, from making lots of mistakes

I am in the process of changing half of the garden into a few raised beds so& my growing space is pretty limited, but I have a large conservatory which I am taking over for my toms, peppers, cucs etc.

I love the Grow Your Own magazine & the forum looks like a lot of fun & tips for a newbie like me.

I look forward to chatting with you all soon

Hello and welcome to the vine Kira.

I'm another one who grows in the back garden, this year I plan on taking over a bit more lawn not making raised beds though just beds.
    Location....East Midlands.

Welcome, Kari.. i grew in the back garden for years before my mate and me took our lottie. My problems was thin clay soil that was ether rock hard and cracking or like a pond, but i did manage lots of runner beans and some cabbages, etc.
I start off most of our veg plants in my greenhouses and take em to the lottie when conditions are right.
      Good luck with your growing.

          hi kari

i'm the same as you..started growing in the back garden at the end of last summer and had a few disasters and some successes but having spent the winter on here i feel a lot more prepared for the coming season.

          welcome and enjoy!
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields and,
Until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand
