  • Hi Everyone

I'm Mags, I live in Mossley and took on a plot last Easter after being on the waiting list for FOREVER! I can definitely say it was worth the wait and although I'm finding growing my own a steep learning curve I find it's one of the best ideas I've ever had. I just wanted to say hello to you all anyway and I'll hopefully chat to you all at some point!

Hi Magsie, I know what you mean about an allotment being one of the best ideas you have had, I feel fitter than I have for many years and have lost half a stone due to digging

Hi alldigging. Last year I grew sweetcorn, onions, garlic, beetroot, beans, radish and salad. Copious tomatoes and cucumbers in the greenhouse but major disasters with chilli peppers and aubergine. I also ended up with a mammoth courgette plant! In all I was incredibly pleased (and surprised!) considering it was my first experience with an allotment and everything was hit and miss!
