Welcome to the vine Shellyanne. With a 4'x2' bed, it may pay to dabble with square foot gardening. That involves dividing your bed up into 8 x 1 foot squares & growing different things in each square.

                  Hello Shellyanne and welcome!
Have you considered putting the kids in the 4x2 raised bed and turning the lawn into your veg patch

                    Hi Shellyanne

                    Welcome to the vine.

It is amazing what you can grow in such a small space if you plan it well.
