  • Helloooooo

Hi everyone. I'm new to this site and newish to growing veg/salad. I tried growing a few bits last year, mainly tomatoes and chillies, but this year i decided to grow more and get my kids involved too! I don't have an allotment, (i would love one) i grow what i can in my smallish garden mainly in pots. This year i am growing tomatoes, a few different chillies, peppers, lettuce leaves, carrots, onions, (which are doing badly) sprouts, purple sprouting broccoli and i also have a herb bed which consists of mint, basil, thyme, parsley and chives. Any advice would be brill with the sprouts and broccoli and also any advice on what i could go on to grow next which wouldn't be too challenging and suitable to grow in tubs.

Hello and welcome to the Vine.
I'm not really a potty grower anymore, although I have had both a fig and an olive in pots. They looked glamourous, but didn't fruit.

Everything would do much better planted in the ground

Lol. I have a dog and 2 kids so got a feeling my husband is going to be jobbed by building me some sort of fence to keep them out. Got a lovely patch of garden that would make a good vege patch :-)
