  • Hello from South Wales (Blackwood)

    Hi everyone,

I've browsed this site for ages, but decided to register today because my poor exasperated husband is sick of gardening talk and I need an outlet 😊. I'm really excited because this year I finally have a garden. It's really small and I have to share it with my two boys who are 2 and 4, but I've ripped up the lawn and made two raised beds out of pallets and a berry patch. I'm growing way too many seedlings on my kitchen window and hoping to move them to the wildly fluctuating temperatures of my plastic greenhouse soon. I'm definitely over ambitious in my first year, but I don't care. I've no idea what'll grow up here so I'm growing everything I like to eat and lots of flowers for the bugs. I expect my next post will be about filling the raised beds, so chat soon!

        Hi HS

I answered your filling the raised bed before seeing this post, and welcome to the vine. With two beds if I were you I would look at square foot or 300mm gardening to get the maximum out of them both. 64 little squares of happiness to plant and plant.

                  Hello Susan and welcome.

We've had a few members from sunny south Wales - although some of them do have strange ideas (even stranger than our usual level)

I'm sure you'll enjoy not lurking and find this a suitable outlet for your garden garrulations
