  • Hello from Leicester

    Hi everyone *waves*

I've been lurking for a while but thought I'd jump in and say hi to everyone!

I'm a complete newbie gardener, we've just put 4 raised beds in the bottom of our garden and have some extra space for planting and growing this year. I've been blogging on all our (mis)deeds so far Life of Bint.

Looking forward to getting to know you all

It is a decent size greenhouse, we've never measured it but that sounds about right. The glass was in such disrepair it wasn't safe which is why we've made polythene windows instead, seems to be working quite well. Although we've had to make some repairs/replacements with the recent high winds

We're so lucky with the size of the garden too! We're long term renters, so it's not quite 'ours' but the landlord has given us free reign to do what we wish with the space.

I'd have loved an allotment, but as I don't drive and I'm pregnant with our second child it would have been a bit too much for me to take on. It's something I'll be looking at in the future though.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone
