  • Hello everyone

Good evening my name is Summer I am in my third year of allotment life the first year was spend digging and preparing plot second year transfering to bigger plot with greenhouse and shed already in situ lucky me and this year growing and experimenting.
I live in Cornwall and have soooooooo many questions that you will probably get sick of hearing from me.
My first one is where do most of you get your seeds from please? Last year I used Tuckers as a kind chap on our allotment takes orders and goes and collects but have to say not very pleased with my stuff so far, course that could just be me!!
Anyway looking forward to getting to know you all and enjoying your expertise.
    Cheers me dears

Hello and welcome to the vine Summer.

          Lovely name by the way.

With regards to seeds, I get most of mine as freebies from gardening magazines, the other place I usually get seeds from is online at Real Seeds - they have been pretty good for me this year.

Garden Magazines, autumn sell offs in garden centres for salads, hardly anyone buys salads seeds round here!!! Some I buy new every year as they are troublesome germinators. I store a lot of seeds from the previous year, like broadies, runners, potatoes, garlic, peas and sweet peas. It doesn't matter where you get your seed. Its more important to plant what you want to eat, that way no seed is wasted and it will always be cost effective.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.
