Bit of a newby although I helped my father on his allotment some 30 years ago so a bit rusty!!
I have a problem which I hope someone can solve. I have victorian climbing peas and mange tout planted. I have had several pickings of mange tout and just about to start on the peas, however both plants have over the last 10 or so days gone white on the leaves and stems, which is getting worse. in fact it looks like they are all going to die. The plot was first cultivated last year with variable results. Prior to this it had not been cultivated for over 20 years. I manured (horse) in the late Autumn.
Can anybody help please?? Thanks, Alastair

Don't think it's anything to worry about,my peas no matter what variety I grow do it all the time,even my sweet peas do it!

Sounds like a from of mildew to me, keep picking! and fingers crossed for next year

Peas are beggars for getting mildew. I don't know how you stop it. You just have to eat faster, I think!

Next year you could try growing a Mildew Resistant variety, like Ambassador, Kelvedon Wonder or Hurst Greenshaft.
