Hello All
Hi Everyone;
My name is Sam, I have taken on an allotment as part of my job with a family centre. I've never done this kind of thing before! Gardening to me has been mowing the lawn and picking up the dog mess. So I've been thrown in at the deep end a little!!
We have a pretty large plot. The only problem is...it's a right mess!!! I've made a good start at clearing some of the mess (which included a tipped over porta-potty), I've burnt a lot of the brambles, branches, twigs and dead grass (still a lot to go). I've set up a water container and 2 compost bins, made a start with one of the bins but due to my lack of knowledge...put brambles in it DOH!!
There is still a lot to do before I even get to turning over the ground! i'll upload some pictures when I can.
I just wanted to say hello to my new community
