  • Hello from Aberdeen!

Hello, just thought I would say hello!

I'm fairly new to gardening; I used to be able to kill cacti just looking at them, although I seem to be doing ok now.

I started last year with a wee corner plot, and all I managed was some spinach, a few spring onions, and a bit of broccoli, an a couple of obligatory herb pots...

And now this year we have put in two proper areas for my veggies. It's very exciting!

I have loads growing already but I am just muddling along, in fact making it up as I go along. I have some pots with herbs, my tomatoes have now graduated from the plastic 4 tier greenhouse and are in a planter, I have some carrots and parsnips in pots. All sorts! Most excited about my courgette plants though. I've done yellow ones from seed and the plants are huge so far. There are flowers buds starting :-)

That's enough of a yammer on from me, but hello again and I'm sure ill speak to some of you soon!!

Haha! Hello people 😁 so glad to be here... I can stop bugging my colleagues about everything garden related now!

I've been in Aberdeen nearly 11 years and I'm from Kent originally. My mum plants a lot of flowering bits and pieces down the road and my grandparents did a lot of gardening, including veggies. Grandad would be proud!

Here's my courgettes before I repotted them to bigger pots, I'm too scared to take them out of the greenhouse at the moment so I'll leave them there for a while. From seed!! 👍

And so delighted my broad beans are doing well (now flowering) a shame for the other beans either side though they are all a bit nibbled now; I may have to resend and get some slug pellets!!

I'm so excited to make dinners with all my lovely veggies!!
