Default Hallo!!!!!

Big hello to everyone.

Just decided to get stuck in about the garden in a semi-serious way this year after moving into a house that actually has one. I live in a small village called Colliston which is in Angus in Scotland. As well as the garden my other love is cars (Currently got 3 old skool vw Golfs in the driveway) Hope to chat to some of you soon.

Hi and welcome to the vine. Fellow old car enthusiast here! My drive is shown in my avatar, OH drives a Rover SD1 V8 Twin-Plenum Vitesse, eldest son has a 1983 mini convertible currently being restored and younger son has a Volvo P1800S awaiting restoration. We also have a few 1950's jukeboxes. Mad family. Look forward to hearing more about your garden and cars

Ah nice one.....glad i'm not the only petrol head in here then (loving that cabby Shirl - 2 of our golfs are mk1 cabbys, the other is a mk2 tintop.........all gtis). I also own and run a car enthusiast website/forum. As for the jukeboxes, don't have one of them yet but we do have a full sized pinball machine, a bumper car, a japanese slot machine and the coffee table is a pool table with shortened legs and a sheet of glass placed on the top. The house is absolutely jam packed with car memorabilia. If there's somewhere in here i can put pics up i will do.

Do you belong to the Mk1 Golf owner's club? Flossie (my golf) is a 1.8 GTI and I am hoping to get her back sometime today after much hassle getting a new steering rack! What colour are your cabbys?

One of our coffee tables is a Space Invaders cocktail table - your house sounds a bit like ours! Top of jukeboxes is a good place to chit spuds!!

No i don't belong to the mk1 owner's club....i am a member of several vw sites though but kinda got fed up of the clique-ish way the scene was heading so spend more time on general car sites. Was the main reason i set up my own forum, after going to Run To The Sun in Newquay last year and seeing all different kinds of car owners mixing and having an awesome time. Gonna put up some pics in the Off-Topic Forum.

The cabby's are black and white and the mk2 is a custom metallic turquoise colour.
