Default New Girl - Need some advice

Hello all...
I'm new to this site and I just wanted to say hello to everyone
I'm still on the waiting list for an allotment (3years!!) but a rather kind gentlemen offered a small part of his to start me off with.

I'm growing brassicas for the first time and wondered if anyone had made their own cabbage collars or if you just buy them.

Look forward to any suggestions......

Hi Daisydoo,

Welcome to The Vine!

I grow Brassicas but haven't used collars before so can't help on that......but I've got lots of cardboard about so would probably make some out of that.

Hi daisydoo

Greetings

I've never used those collars either; but would definitely use old cereal packets or card.

little money saving tip, try old carpet underlay, you can use it year after year, i'm sure romeone will have lots of this, but don't take all of it, you'd end up with far to much
