| Hello to you all from a very damp Devon, I am absolutely obsessed with my garden and have been planting all sorts of lovely plants....... any ideas of a climber I can grow on a North facing fence, and also a cheery large shrub also North facing, I thought of maybe a rhododendron? Look forward to some suggestions..... the soil is very clay by the way. ![]() Last edited by honeybee; 29-04-2008 at 10:01 PM. |

| Hi honeybee, I was a Newton Abbot girl, like jackie j. North-facing. I've got a climbing rose called Mme Albert Carrier, which is very nice. Highly scented creamy flowers for most of the year. Fatsia for the shrub (evergreen, big glossy leaves)? Great to have you on the Vine too!
