    Sage leaves with white marks-help!

    Hi
    I brought a potted sage plant a few weeks ago-kept it in the house initially but now moved to out small lean to greenhouse.
    Recently it has started to develop white spoldges on the leaves, Any ideas why? And how to treat them?
    Other then the white marks, the plant looks healthy and has lots if new leaf growth with no marks!
    Any ideas welcome.

      Bit hard for me to see but it looks like a mold of some sort?
      Maybe not enough airflow in the greenhouse?

      Where is your location?...can you put it in your profile so we can get a better idea of you regional weather?

      Sage is really an outdoor plant, so hardening it off in the greenhouse was a good idea.

      I'd be tempted to pull off the worst leaves and give the plant a wash under a tap to wash off spores( if it indeed is mold?) then. Leave it somewhere with more airflow- even if it's just during the day.

      You could be more brutal and cut it back a fair bit as it should grow again...but it'll only happen again in the same location.

        Hello and welcome
        Are you watering the plant from above so that water falls onto the leaves? Or could condensation be forming on the leaves?
        Sage has a furry leaf that holds moisture and the leaves should be kept dry if possible when indoors. Really they are a Mediterranean plant and should be outside in the sun, and kept on the dry side.
        Of course you could live near the Med.............

          It looks like powdery mildew to me... one of the old recipes is to spray with a mixture of 10 parts water to 1 part milk. Worth a try I reckon.

            Thanks all, might tray and wipe the worst off and give the milk/water a try before I attack it and start taking the leaves off!

            It definately looks like it could be some sort of mould/mildew. I have only watered around the base so the leaves havent got damp but maybe the airflow around it has been the issue.
