    Has anyone tried this ?
    Tarragon, Mexican - Detailed item view - Moreveg vegetable seeds most at 50p also herb and flowers

    I know french Tarragon doesn't set seed and the Russian is fairly rubbish

    I haven't tried it, but it looks interesting, Rocketron. It's not really a Tarragon, just a plant with a similar taste. It's Latin name is Tagetes lucida, so it's closely related to French marigolds, and has yellow flowers.

        I have some Tagetes Lucida plants. I bought some from a garden centre in 2012, and took cuttings. Although it is often billed as an annual, it is actually a tender perennial. I bring it in the house over winter, because even a cold greenhouse can kill it. The scent of the leaves is very nice - sort of a cross between alecost and French tarragon. I haven't tried cooking with it, though. The common name is sometimes Mexican Marigold.
