| Oooh I used to live in Derbyshire - it can be a bit cold oop there. You'd be best waiting 'til early spring before starting them off, as although they might germinate indoors they'd need lots of light to grow well. ![]()

| I have read that you could sow basil aswell on windowsill for the winter but what germinated hasn't started to grow to useful level until this month. The length of daylight has a lot to do with it, no matter what the temperature is like. |
