| My lemongrass has grown quite well, but it obviously needs to be harvested. Any ideas on how to store it.I've only got an unheated greenhouse, and the pot ,which is outside at the moment, has rooted into the soil. Can I chop it & freeze it? |

| Sorry angie, I'm a bit late replying, but you don't have to harvest the whole plant, just break off a stem when you need one. The plant would be better indoors, rather than in an unheated greenhouse. Having rooted through the pot into the ground, just cut the root, and, its probably the wrong time of year, but pot it up into a slightly larger pot, and as I say, bring it in to the house. You can keep the plants growing for years. valmarg |

| Lemongrass can be frozen as well as it keeps quite well. I tend to stock up from my supplier while I can. I tend to get my lemongrass from an online supplier. |

| I got a lemongrass plant last week so will keep you posted on how it gets on. Will be protecting it for the winter in one of those little zippy greenhouses on a sheltered patio, so we'll see how it survives.

| I lost one in unheated greenhouse last winter, they can't take any frost.

| Thanks - will be slightly more careful with it and put it next to the house then! Patio normally stays frost-free as is 15ft by 15ft, raised, and fully fenced.
