This thread will be used for peoples reccomended "Gold Standard Varieties".
If you can reccomend a fruit or vegetable variety that has exceptional taste, quality and a good yield then please list them here along with your reasons why they should be included. Taste is more important than yield but both qualities must shine through. This is going to be a very flexible list so please post A NEW THREAD with your suggestion One of the moderators will then take your suggestions and add them to this thread. you will not be able to see your posts until they are moderated. Contributors will be acknowledged next to their nominated varieties. The list will be a "work in progress" and will build up in time to be a worthwhile reference for choosing which varieties to grow.
