  • Man grows pea in his lung...

Now, it's a shame that this little story just came a tad too late for this month's feature on growing fruit and veg in small spaces...This man takes the biscuit for innovation, and I'm just a bit worried that if I keep on opening my mouth too much on here it'll get planted up with a few potatoes or a couple of caulis...

I remember reading about a farmhand who went to the doctor because he had a worm growing out of his navel
Turned out it was grain of wheat that had germinated in the clammy folds of his belly button

I can just imagine this man in an Olde Tyme Travelling Show...

Just picture the MC trying to whip up the shock value:

"Ladies and Gentlemen...Not only will this man produce another pea from inside his lung, but he'll also produce some button mushrooms from his belly button, some ears of corn from inside his ears...and to round the spectacle off...."

      (Wait for it...)

"He'll produce a massive swarm of Bumblebees!!!!"...

A tad too late? It's dated August 2010. I saw this on the BBC website yesterday and wondered why they were putting up such an old story. Is he getting a second crop or something?
